Albert Ouellette's horses (am_2355)

Click to enlargeIn 1900, Joseph Ouellette bought 100 acres of land in Drummond, lot 21, located on the Desjardins road. This land became the property of Arthur (married to Sadie Walker) in 1908, then to his brother Albert in 1925. In 1914, Albert married Flavie Martin who died giving birth to a son Gérard (married to Laurette Ouellette). In 1917, Albert married Emma Massé and they had several children: Aldéric (married to Gemma St-Amand), Anthelme (Noëlla Ouellette), Lauria (1st Gérard Desjardins, 2nd Conrad Desjardins), Louis-Philippe (Yvette Levesque), Marie, Cécile (Léon Desjardins), Aline (Alexandre Godbout), François (Sylvia Desjardins), Rhéo (Gemma Beaulieu), Maurice (Clara Toner) and Laurine (Brian Toner). In 1948, Albert Ouellette bought Ford Merritt's land which Rhéo Ouellette inherited in 1959, and Albert Dionne's land that went to François Ouellette. Photo taken July 15,1940.
