..From Luxembourg...

to Rivière-Verte (N.B.)!..

.......March 17, 2002 ....................

In March 2002, Martine and Gilles Desjardins from Rivière-Verte, were having special company for a week or so. They had met and exchanged via the Internet, a couple from Bridel, Luxembourg. Luigi Laera et Sabrina Sauty enjoyed visiting this piece of the planet. They mentioned being overwhelmed with the warm welcome and the winter activities, such as snowmobiling, sleighing, local dishes such as "Ployes", "Cipâte" and home made Chicken stew! On march 17, Martine et Gilles, who live not too far from here, brought them for anevening of observing at my observatory. Jupiter, Saturn, the Orion Nébulae... and to top it all; comet Ikeya-Zhang!

Who could have known that while visiting Luxembourg in 1971, I would one day have someone from this country at my observatory!

I really enjoyed our night of observing along with a few members of our club.
